Roadmap
The same feedback posts seen as they progress from idea to shipped, with customers able to follow a post and hear when it moves.
The roadmap is not a separate list you maintain by hand. It is the same feedback posts, shown by where they sit in your status pipeline. When you move a post forward on a board, it moves on the roadmap automatically, because they are one object.
How it works
As posts progress through their board's status pipeline (for example, from Under review to Planned to In progress to Shipped), the roadmap groups them by status so customers can see what is planned, what is being worked on, and what is done. There is nothing to keep in sync: the roadmap reflects the posts as they are.
Following a post
A customer can follow a roadmap post to hear about its progress. When the post's status changes, followers are notified through the portal and, when it warrants, by email. This turns the roadmap from a static page into a channel: a customer who asked for something months ago is told, by the product itself, when it moves.
From roadmap to changelog
When a post reaches a done status, it is a natural candidate to announce. Hark can draft a resolved post into a changelog entry, keeping a pointer back to the post it announces, so the loop closes from "a customer asked" to "we shipped it and told them." See Changelog for that step.
